I will be participating in the Brush on The Bluff event at the Polly Judd park in Spokane WA May 17th 2025. This is a large outdoor event with over 30 professional artists doing live plein air painting.  If you are in the area be sure to attend! The event is Free. Those that attend are able to view the art being created and can bid on the art and the proceeds go towards preservation of the park and the natural area surrounding the park and the artists get a portion of the final sale price or can opt to donate all the money from the auction. You can also bid on the art online. So if you live nearby or are visiting the area this is a nice event to attend and maybe pick up an art piece and support a good cause. There will be over 30 artists attending. And there will be vendors with food, and activities for the kids. The art will be hung in the Spokane Art School Gallery May 24th Saturday for viewing.

Here is another original painting that had me in a more desert mood... A pretty little picture with flowing warm and cool colors...  A 12x12 acrylic painting on canvas...  I hope you enjoy looking at my little works...  An original concept.  Thank you for stopping by...

Here is another little painting. Just a similar scene to the other, but with snow on the mountains... 12x12 acrylic painting on canvas.

This is another fun little original painting... I was in a mood to paint cows... This is a 12x12 acrylic painting... I find it freeing to paint what you want in whatever subject I might be interested in... It is food for the mind...

This is another original concept painting... It is acrylic on a 12x12 canvas. It depicts poppies in a rolling field in front of an expanse of land with a lake and mountains in the background... I don't really have a name for it yet...

Here is some more recent artwork. I find that doing landscapes is quite satisfying and gives me a sense of peace...   The following lake scene is on a 12x12 canvas. It is an original concept.

Today is March 1st 2025... As I mentioned in an earlier post... I had been in a flames and fire mood... I do not know why... It was a few months before the Los Angeles fires... But they turned out pretty cool... They are both done on a 24x36 canvas...  All works of course are copyrighted and are originals done by me.

This one I call "Burning Desire"  It is a 24x36 acrylic on canvas with a depth of 1 1/2 inches

This one I am thinking of calling it "The Fire Within"--it is also a 24x36 acrylic on canvas with a depth of 1 1/2 inches.

I also have another one that is done on a larger canvas of  36x48 which also has a fiery theme... I did several like that and I don't know why? So it was strange that the massive fires happened with in a couple months after I finished the last one with a fire theme...?

Here is an original I call "Of Earth and Sky" It is in acrylics on a 30x40 canvas with a depth of 1 1/2 inches. I on purpose used thick paint and used brushes and palette knives...

This is the postings for now, but you have examples of my work as an artist... Thank you for visiting my site!

New Artwork Finished! I am keeping busy in my studio... I have many more examples of work that I have completed in the last year... The largest is 36x48.

Today is March 1st 2025 and I am updating my art posts. Here are some new pieces that I recently finished. The lake and mountain one is a an acrylic on a 30x40 canvas. I did this one in a more impressionistic style...  I used brushes and palette knives. The others are also in acrylics.

Here is a small 12x12 acrylic on canvas quick study done in a couple hours using brushes and palette knives.

I also like to play around with abstracts in different styles...  The following one I call:
"Cotton Candy Forest" It is acrylics on a 24x36 canvas.

The next one is more a traditional landscape. This is an original done in acrylics on canvas size 24x30 with a depth of 1 1/2 inches.

Here is another original abstract I did not too long ago. It is acrylics on a 24x24 canvas with a depth of
1 1/2 inches.  I call it "Anxiety"

Here is one that is in progress... I have not painted horses so it is fun to experiment. It is a 16x20 on canvas in acrylics... I still need to finish the tack on the horse and the details of the feet and the jockey then I will finish the background...  I feel like I have just scratched the surface of what I can do and that is fun and exciting! I plan on doing more horses in a larger scale like 36x48 or 48x60... I feel it has more impact that way...

Here is another fun abstract I did... 24x24 in acrylics on a 1 1/2 inch deep canvas... Done with palette knives and brushes, but primarily palette knives.

I have many other samples I can post at a later date. I really enjoy working in my studio and I also like to do Plein air painting. It is nice to get outdoors in the fresh air!

This is my latest update. I have been really working hard on my art. I find it is really fun and challenging. I have always been the type to not be afraid to be bold and try new things. I have been trying abstract art for the last year and I have been developing a style. I love to put feeling and emotion into my paintings.  Sometimes the content is met with odd stares and shock. That's fine with me. What is the point of art if it is boring? But so far the feedback on my Facebook page has been wonderful! People love it! So that is great! It is always good to always be developing your skill set as an artist. And I really don't follow trends so I paint what I like and what feels right for me...  I started with small formats and now I am up to painting in acrylics on large formats like a 36 x 48 wrapped canvas. The latest one I did is a vibrant fiery composition with depth and texture. I have entered a few of my pieces on the art site FASO. I will be uploading some of my better pieces soon to there. I entered on of my pieces I call "Burning Desire". It is a fiery scene with flaming red and what looks like a burning forest.

Don't ask me why but my last three paintings in the last couple months have been a fire theme with burning woods, etc. and a real apocalyptic atmosphere with visions of red, and blood and destruction. Then of course the L.A. fires happened. This is not the first time I had a vision/ideas of something in my head and then the next thing I know I see it happen on t.v. or somewhere else? Really weird. So if you want to go see my latest entry on FASO go take a peak. It is really unique.  People seem to really like it a lot I am building my portfolio so I can enter them, hopefully, into a jury'd art show.   I still do more traditional art off and on as it is fun too... I did an evening piece based on the scenery of the Washington Palouse. Rolling hills with a river and with the moon casting a luminous light across the hills and water and with a starry night sky. I think it turned out really pretty! I have gotten great feedback on that piece.

Well cheers for now and look at some of my newer pieces on FASO. I am hoping in the near future to get a website set up there so I can display my work better.  Cheers!
